Kaspar Bunne from Berlin/Germany was as a skate-aid volunteer in Butwal/Nepal. For two month he took care of the kids in our skate park project. Check out his full report here.

Also this year, our long-time partner Westenergie supports us not only with the joint free vacation workshops in about 30 German cities, but was also, as in the previous year, at the Dittmann Matinee in favor of skate-aid with the Westenergie Backmobil to feed the guests with delicious freshly baked waffles. More than half a million refugees who have arrived in Moldova from Ukraine since the beginning of the war represent an enormous challenge in view of the population of almost 2.6 million and the overall threat situation. The refugee camp in Balti was built by the association "Die AHRche e.V.” and handed over to the local administration. We’re also working closely with the local authorities. Coaches trained by skate-aid started the educational skateboarding workshop program for the refugee kids with the container we set up and trained local coaches.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023 - skate-aid review 2022

A review of the past year and an outlook on the coming one...

"Celebrate and support" was the traditional motto of the Lexware skate-aid night at Skaters Palace in Münster on 19.11.2022. Around 250 invited guests from all over Germany answered the call, including, as always, many prominent "skate-aid friends", such as TV doctor and presenter Doc Esser, musician Steffi Stefan, politician Ruprecht Polenz, TV presenter Mara Bergmann, entertainer Adam Riese and many other familiar faces.

The skate-aid "Across The Bo(a)rders" container project for socially disadvantaged children started in Cologne-Meschenich.

The first location has now been opened at Kölnberg, one of Cologne's largest social hotspots.

For our project Across The Bo(a)rders in Balti/ Moldova we are looking for a volunteer on short notice from the end of September until the end of October.

My name is Sachin Raj and I’m a skateboarder from Kochi Kerala/India. I have been skateboarding on the streets for 5 years as our city doesn’t have a park yet. With minimal resources, I traveled to India's skateparks and was able to learn the basics of park skating.

The organization of our aid project for Ukrainian kids is in full swing. Yet we’re working together with "Die-AHRche e.V." from Bad Neuenahr - Ahrweiler, which has already built up a tent city with free warm lunch, sanitary facilities, tool rental to flood victims and laundromat etc. during the flood disaster in Ahrweiler. In addition, the association has also already set up a functioning tent city as a reception camp in Moldova at the border to Ukraine.
