As a volunteer on site, you can help us to apply the power of skateboarding directly. As a voluntary skatepark manager, you take care of all the skatepark matters - drawing up a timetable, organizing and conducting workshops and sports events, and of course first and foremost the kids. You will be assisted by a mentor of our project partner on site and the skate-aid project office.

Tasks for volunteers:

  • Cooperation in the skate park, i. Skate lessons and organization of competitions and events

  • Carry out or initiate repair work in the park

  • Possibly. Participation in public relations and administration

  • Skate experience and enthusiasm

  • Experience in dealing with children and adolescents

  • Identification with the culture of skateboarding

  • Communication strength, adaptability and resilience

  • Willingness to learn the respective national language.

There are two options for voluntary service: "weltwärts" in cooperation with "Eine Welt Netz NRW" and directly via skate-aid.

"Weltwärts" is the developmental voluntary service of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The "One World Network NRW" is a recognized sending organization of the program. Our cooperation with this association enables us to send you to some of our partner projects with weltwärts funding. It is a learning program for young people between the ages of 18 and 28, who work on the projects for 12 months. The focus is on the idea of intercultural exchange and global learning. Here, the young adults undergo a detailed selection process and are then intensively prepared for their tasks in seminars. Application deadline is depending on the place (visa formalities) end of May to mid-June. In January then the selection takes place. The stay starts in August and lasts 12 months. This voluntary service is only available to people living in Germany.

Of course you can also contact us directly: t.egelkamp@skate-aid.org

Directly via skate-aid

These are not official (e.g., "weltwärts") supported sites. Since we nevertheless need support in the projects, we send the volunteers on the private law framework. The requirements are the same, but there is also the opportunity for volunteers from around the world to get involved.

In the following gallery you will find the individual places in the details. If you have any questions, you can contact t.egelkamp@skate-aid.org or you can directly fill in the form below.

See you soon in one of our projects!
