The project

Initiators of the project "ONG Social Skate" are the former professional skater Sandro Testinha and his wife Leila Vieira dos Santos, who founded the organization in 2011.
"ONG Social Skate" is a project that seeks to give children and young people in a crime and violence city a chance to learn skateboarding in a secure environment and spend their free time there. Through skateboarding Sandro tries to teach his protégés values such as respect and personal responsibility, determination and self-confidence. Sandro is supported in this by his wife, who integrates pedagogical approaches as a teacher. As the first small support from skate-aid, in 2013 we have u.a. Sent 20 new decks to Brazil to ensure there's enough hardware for the kids and teenagers.

This project was carried out by skate-aid e.V. München.
