skate-aid Kevelaer developed from a skateboarding division of the municipal sports club KSV. The construction of the skate park was a decisive step in this process: after numerous hurdles and a great deal of commitment, the facility was finally realized. This success led to the creation of a lively skateboarding division within the KSV, which laid the foundation for today's club. The decisive impetus for further development came from fundraising campaigns at the K-Vibez Festival in aid of skate-aid, which led to close contact with Titus Dittmann.
Since then, workshops have been offered regularly at schools, daycare centers, and other institutions, which have been very well received and underline the educational aspirations of the club.
Today, the club has over 40 permanent members and the number continues to grow. The focus is not only on skateboarding and having fun exercising, but also on values such as community, mutual support, and social engagement, in line with the skate-aid philosophy.
