It was a very special evening with an incredible atmosphere: the first skate-aid Charity Summer Party in Freudenberg was a complete success. Nearly 100 guests, including Mayor Nicole Reschke and Mayor Andreas Hundhausen, enjoyed delicious food, good music, interesting interviews and performances in the stylishly decorated Technology Museum.
Marco Sorgi and his team from the Hotel Zur Altstadt provided culinary delights, while the team from Roth Getränke complemented the treats. Eddi & Belle, together with Henning Wehland, provided the musical highlights. The front man of the band H-BLOCKX sang in a duo with Belle and also performed his own songs.
Sönke Möhring, Lina van de Mars, and Ollie Noack auctioned off interesting prizes and the founder of the whole thing, Federal Cross of Merit recipient Titus Dittmann, repeatedly shared interesting anecdotes and facts from his life, his childhood in neighboring Kirchen (known as “Kierschn” colloquially) and his passion project, skate-aid. The artists Tizlu and Dennis Klapschus (aka deklart) also provided exhibits that were auctioned off. Race car driver Altfrid Heger, who attended the evening with his wife, also donated a prize for the auction.
Many donations in the five-figure range were collected to support the work of skate-aid for children. Lea Klein hosted the event in her usual cheerful manner. All in all, it was a thoroughly successful evening that guests will remember with happy smiles.
