The Situation
Hanoi is the oldest capital in south east asia still in existance and has more than 6 million inhabitants. Their biggest problem: Social injustice and the rapidly growing number of street kids and orphans.
Frido Meyer-Knees works in the children's home of Hai Duong and experiences the situation of the kids very close.
But the boys and girls, who stem from the poorest circumstances, who are often orphans or have to battle diseases, beam with joy when they get their hands on a skateboard and can forget their problems through a little session - at least for one short moment. And Frido is taking care of that by actively working with them and getting them to know skateboarding.
